I’m the CEO & Creative Director of Stephanie Thompson Wedding Design.

I’m a certified wedding coordinator through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada. I have taken courses in floral design and decorating. I frequently attend wedding industry conferences to stay current and up to date on the latest and greatest in weddings.

I’m a Leo.

I have a 2 year old daughter, married to my business partner Steve, and we also have children of the fur variety two dogs Darko & Chazzie (both named from movie characters), and Kitty.

Although I have been planning and designing a variety of social and corporate events for 10 years. I graduated as a registered nurse, practiced for 5 years, then followed my heart, hobby and love of planning & decorating events. After planning my own wedding in 5 months I had an “a ha moment” finally realizing my passion and started my wedding design business in February 2009.

I love helping couples design their weddings. I get so excited hearing all of their great ideas that it gets my creative juices flowing and I help them by giving them my own ideas to enhance their vision and theme.

I feel that couples should be able to have a fun and enjoyable experience planning their wedding, and that everyone has a budget no matter if it’s $10,000 or $100,000.

I love my Starbucks in the morning… and afternoon.

My favourite colour is BLUE. I love sports. I love to sing. I love the beach and travelling to new places. I love to learn about different cultures. I’m frequently inspired from nature, my clients vision, fashion, interior design and history. My first job at 15 yrs old was at Color Your World (paint & sundries) … should have realized my love for colour at an earlier age.

After only a few months in business I had the opportunity to work with a couple who’s wedding aired on the Slice Network’s Rich Bride Poor Bride, season five .
